MCKINNEY, TX — Duncanville may have won the battle, but they could have lost war along the way.
Senior quarterback Ja'Quinden Jackson left Saturday's game with a knee injury late in the second quarter. The highly touted 4-star recruit ran the ball inside up 35-0 against Rockwall and suffered a brutal hit to his left knee that left him on the ground.
Several trainers crowded around him, until he was eventually helped off and taken straight to the locker room. He came back to sidelines with a brace around his knee, crutches, and a sweatshirt. He was unable to put weight on it.
Early indications point to a torn ACL, but Duncanville will not know the full extent until Monday after an MRI. Hopefully it is not that bad, but even if it is not, Jackson is extremely doubtful to play in the Championship against North Shore next Saturday.
He will be replaced by freshman Chris Parson. Parson threw a 36 yard TD and ran for a 38 yard score in the third quarter.
