SAN ANGELO, TX - Angelo State University honored its 2026 Outstanding Graduate Students, as well as the recipients of three superlative awards, during the recent Graduate Research Symposium and Awards Ceremony in the Houston Harte University Center.
The honorees were nominated by faculty in their respective academic departments, and each received a certificate of recognition. They are listed here by their hometowns and areas of study.
The Outstanding Graduate Students for the College of Arts and Humanities are:
- Quentina Holland of Amarillo - communication
- Veida Dima of Grand Prairie - English
The Norris-Vincent College of Business honoree is:
- Kimberly Alvarez of San Angelo - professional accountancy
Honorees for the College of Education are:
- Sandra Borges of Artesia, N.M. - administrative leadership
- Robin Graves of Miles - transformative leadership
- Lisa Robinson of Fort Worth - educational leadership
- Nickol Roso of San Antonio - student development and leadership in higher education
- Heather Tschoepe of Floresville - professional school counseling
- Angela Walden-Hulme of Sweetwater - mental health and wellness counseling
- Libby Welker of San Antonio - professional counseling LPC
Archer College of Health and Human Services honorees are:
- Samantha Loeb of Prosper - nurse educator
- Mallory Melton of San Angelo - coaching, sport, recreation and fitness administration
- Leslie Vanderland of Midland - family nurse practitioner
Honorees for the College of Science and Engineering are:
- Bethany Crenwelge of San Angelo - animal science
- Abigail Sullivan of San Angelo - agriculture
Additionally, winners of the superlative awards were selected from among the Outstanding Graduate Students by a separate committee.
The superlative awards recipients are:
- Kimberly Alvarez - Leadership Excellence
- Veida Dima - Research Excellence
- Nickol Roso - Academic Excellence
ASU graduate students who presented research posters during the Graduate Research Symposium were also recognized.
