San Angelo Water: Online Card Payments Restored Temporarily

SAN ANGELO, TX — The City of San Angelo has restored online credit and debit card payments for water utility bills using a temporary third-party processor, city officials announced Feb. 13.

American Express cards are temporarily not accepted through the InvoiceCloud platform. The city will notify customers when the original processor is fully restored and services switch back.

The change follows a Feb. 6 cybersecurity attack on the city's contracted credit card processor that disrupted online card payments. No customer card data was compromised, and the issue did not affect InvoiceCloud's bill management system.

Key details for customers:

  • Existing autopay users do not need to re-enroll.
  • No double charges will occur for early payments; autopay processes based on current balance (check InvoiceCloud for open balances).
  • The disruption primarily affected autopay for bills issued Jan. 13-16.

Other payment options remain available, including ACH/EFT online, in-person at City Hall Annex (301 W. Beauregard Ave.), mail, drop box and phone.
