SAN ANGELO, TX - Angelo State University's College of Science and Engineering (COSE) will host its semi-annual STEM Lab Night event on Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the ASU Vincent Building at 2333 Vanderventer Ave.
STEM Lab Night is a free community event designed to inspire students of all ages and their families to get involved in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) subjects and activities. Participants will meet and interact with COSE students, faculty and staff as they engage in fun activities, demonstrations and experiments, including:
- Styrofoam and starch foam
- Chemistry in a bag
- Self-inflating balloons
- CO2 rockets
- Invisible inks
- Liquid nitrogen
- Van de Graaff generator
- Tesla coil
- Livestock identification
- Angular momentum
- Tissue preservation
- Ping Pong catapult
Originated in 2018, STEM Lab Night is offered once during each fall and spring semester. It has also expanded to include academic departments across campus and community partners throughout San Angelo.
