City of San Angelo to Waive Utility Late Fees for Federal Employees During Shutdown

SAN ANGELO, TX — The City of San Angelo will waive late fees on utility bills and suspend service shutoffs for federal employees and retirees affected by the ongoing federal government shutdown, according to a press release from the city.

The temporary waiver will remain in effect for the duration of the shutdown. To qualify, eligible individuals must visit the City Hall Annex at 301 W. Beauregard Ave. and present a valid government-issued ID.

The city’s announcement follows a Thursday visit from U.S. Rep. August Pfluger in San Angelo, where he met with local officials to discuss available resources for federal employees and military members impacted by the shutdown.

Video of that will be uploaded to our website momentarily.
