Flood-Damaged Property Owners Must Apply for Tax Exemption by Oct. 20

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Property owners in Tom Green County who suffered damage during the July 4 flood may qualify for a temporary property tax exemption, according to the Tom Green County Appraisal District. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 20.

Eligible properties include residential or commercial structures (land is excluded), business personal property used for income production with a 2025 rendition filed, and manufactured homes used as dwellings.

Applications require Form 50-312 and supporting documentation such as photos, repair estimates or inspection reports. Forms can be submitted by email to [email protected] or in person at 2302 Pulliam St. Forms and details are available at sanangeloflood.com. Do not send to the state. 

Applicants will receive written notice once the exemption is approved, modified or denied. The exemption will expire Jan. 1 of the first tax year the property is reappraised.
