SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts will bring back its Art Thursdays program starting April 3, offering free hands-on art experiences for families throughout the month.
Scheduled for April 3, 10, 17 and 24, the events will take place in the museum’s Education Studio and feature two indoor art projects and one outdoor activity each week.
Activities on April 3 and 10 will include painting planets on mixed media and decorating Greek vases using a stylus. On April 17 and 24, participants can create three-dimensional Monet Ponds and make “This is Me” frame collages using photos and magazines.
Each week will feature an outdoor activity on the Ruth Blanks Matlock Education Patio, where attendees will have the opportunity to plant and take home Texas wildflowers in biodegradable pots provided by the museum, weather permitting.
