Salvation Army to Open San Angelo Shelter During Freezing Weather

 

SAN ANGELO – The Salvation Army in San Angelo will open its overnight shelter during freezing temperatures and severe winter weather, providing warm meals and safe sleeping spaces for those in need.

Located at 122 W. 2nd St., the shelter activates when temperatures drop below freezing or when conditions such as snow and ice make outdoor conditions hazardous. In addition to offering food and a place to stay, the organization provides blankets, bed linens, pillows, and other necessities.

The Salvation Army is also accepting financial donations and supplies to support its cold-weather operations. For more information, residents can contact the shelter at (325) 655-6981.
