Help a San Angelo Man Fight Colon Cancer While Expecting His First Child

SAN ANGELO, TX - A San Angelo native, Kevin, 24, received a devastating colon cancer diagnosis on Christmas Eve, just months after surviving a head-on collision and learning he is about to become a father.

Kevin’s journey began on September 26, 2024, when he was involved in a serious car accident, according to the GoFundMe.

Although he initially avoided a hospital visit, lingering pain, and unusual test results eventually led to a medical investigation. Doctors discovered a mass in his colon, which was confirmed as cancer on Christmas Eve.

Kevin and his partner are expecting their first child in August 2025. However, his illness has created significant financial strain. With surgery scheduled for January 9, 2025, and upcoming chemotherapy and radiation, Kevin faces mounting medical bills and uncertainty about his ability to work. He is ineligible for Family and Medical Leave Act protections due to his tenure at his job.

A GoFundMe campaign, organized by his partner, has been set up to help cover Kevin’s medical expenses and provide financial relief. The campaign has already raised over $1,100 but aims to reach $4,000.

I don't know this guy or necessarily understand how this is biologically possible, but if he's going to give birth to his child rather than take some dubious escape route, he deserves the community's support!
