SAN ANGELO, TX – Fireworks are on sale across San Angelo as the world gears up for New Year’s Day celebrations.

Retailers include Angelo Fireworks, Mr. W Fireworks, Renegade Fireworks, and Bad Boyz Fireworks, all offering a wide selection of products.

Local authorities remind the public that shooting or possessing fireworks within 5,000 feet of the city limits is a Class C misdemeanor, punishable by fines up to $2,000.

  • Use fireworks outdoors only.
  • Read and follow label directions.
  • Have an adult present and water on hand.

Activities like relighting duds, carrying fireworks in pockets, and giving fireworks to children are strongly discouraged.
