San Angelo Welcomes Veterans for Annual Hunt

SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo is set to honor 10 veterans during a public event at the San Angelo Regional Airport on Wednesday, December 4, at 5:30 p.m., marking the kickoff of San Angelo Support for Veterans, Inc.’s (SASV) Annual Military Warrior Hunt.

The nonprofit organization, dedicated to aiding wounded and disabled veterans, organizes this hunt as part of its mission to provide “Outdoor Therapy.” The event pairs veterans with shared experiences, offering opportunities for bonding and recovery through activities like a Whitetail deer hunt. The therapy has shown benefits in helping veterans overcome injuries, share stories, and build lasting friendships.

SASV focuses on supporting veterans who served during wartime or peacekeeping missions. The organization operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, relying on community support to fulfill its mission. This annual hunt has become a key event in connecting veterans and fostering camaraderie.

The public is invited to attend the welcoming ceremony.
