Traffic Alert for San Angelo Due to Signal Work and Wet Weather Hazards

SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo drivers are advised to expect delays and exercise caution as the Texas Department of Transportation has announced traffic signal work and warned of flooded roads in multiple areas due to recent storms.

TxDOT will conduct traffic signal maintenance near the intersections of US 87 and 19th Street and US 87 and 29th Street. Work is scheduled from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, until 12 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. Law enforcement will assist with traffic control during this time, and motorists are urged to plan for potential delays.

In addition, several roads, including FM 2335 in Knickerbocker, US 87 near Bryant, and FM 1692 south of Miles, have reported water over the pavement, creating hazardous conditions. TxDOT advises drivers to avoid flooded areas, slow down, and increase their following distance to reduce the risk of accidents. Motorists are encouraged to use headlights to improve visibility, stay alert for potential hydroplaning, and follow detours as necessary.
