San Angelo City Offices Closed for Labor Day; Municipal Pool to Close for Season

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Most city offices in San Angelo will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, in observance of Labor Day, with operations resuming at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Trash collection services will continue without interruption, although the landfill will be closed on Saturday, Aug. 31.

The Municipal Pool will have its final day of operation on Labor Day, open for public swimming from noon to 6 p.m. Admission fees are $5 for ages 3-64, free for children 2 and younger, and $3 for seniors 65 and older.

At Lake Nasworthy, day passes for Middle Concho and Spring Creek parks are available for $5 per vehicle. Season entry passes, valid through Labor Day weekend, can be purchased for $20 for seniors and those with disabilities or $30 for the general public. Camping permits are available for $10 per campsite per night.

Fort Concho, including the Barracks 1 Visitor Center, will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday for self-guided tours. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and military personnel, $1.50 for children ages 7-17, and free for kids 6 and younger.

City operations that will be closed on Sept. 2 include the Animal Shelter, City Hall and its annex, Fairmount Cemetery’s business offices, Municipal Court, Parks and Recreation offices, the Health Department, Southside and Carl Ray Johnson recreation centers, Station 618 and Santa Fe Crossing senior centers, and the WIC office.
