SAN ANGELO, TX — Summer is in full swing, and it comes with a heightened risk of hunger for many children. With 4.2 million Texans facing food insecurity, including nearly 1 in 4 children, the Kids Eat-FREE! Program aims to bridge the gap. Starting Monday, July 8, free lunch meals will be available Monday through Friday at seven neighborhood sites across San Angelo. No applications or requirements are necessary; children can simply show up at a program site during scheduled times. Family members accompanying children will also receive a meal at no cost.
