SAN ANGELO, TX — A temporary traffic light is now at the corner of Johnson and Sherwood to improve safety.
Earlier, on August 5, 2023, a crash involving two cars knocked down the traffic light and pole there. Because the light was missing, more crashes happened. You can read about it in the original article: WATCH: Inactive Traffic Signal Leads to Crash on Johnson & Sherwood.
A few days later, on August 9, 2023, the city crews set up a temporary traffic light facing Johnson. This should help traffic get back to normal. It’s not clear when a permanent light will be put in.
For now, things should be safer for drivers at that intersection.
