According to members of the family, on July 28, 2023 at 10 a.m., funeral services for Victor Manuel Castorena-Melendez, 32, of Odessa, will be held at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Odessa. The burial will follow at the Ector County Cemetary. The viewing was held on July 27, 2023

It is with great pain that we announce that our beloved Flako, Victor, passed away unexpectedly in San Angelo, Texas on July 23, 2023. Victor Manuel Castorena Meléndez was born on October 1, 1991, son of Mario Javier Castorena Loya and Gloria Hilda Melendez Soto in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico. Victor was a highly skilled master craftsman and, like that his family, was involved in the family business. Victor he was a devoted father to his beautiful daughters Victoria and Valeria Castorena who's mother is Erica Gracia. Victor is survived by his brothers Mario Alejandro Castorena Melendez, Edgar David Castorena Melendez, Estefanía Castorena Melendez and Diana Marin. Our Victor was an amazing son, brother and father who he loved his family and daughters. He enjoyed taking care of his roosters, he they loved cars, their puppy Teddy, soccer and spending time with his girlfriend Michelle. Our little brother will always be remembered for his great heart, love for his family, for being the life of the party and the everyone's friend!
