Where Are San Angelo’s Most Flood Prone Streets?

SAN ANGELO, TX — The National Weather Service office at Mathis Field in San Angelo recorded .93 inches of rain between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. causing streets to flood across the city.

Flood prone areas caused some drivers to take alternative routes while others braved the waters covering the roadways.

The San Angelo city council on Tuesday approved a $22.2 million project to replace the roadway on Bell St. from Rio Concho Drive to the Old Ballinger Highway including replacing the pavement with concrete, adding sidewalks, fixing drainage issues, replacing water and sewer lines and replacing traffic signals at Rio Concho Drive and Harris Avenue.

The council also approved over $1 million for the design phase of rebuilding College Hills from Loop 306 to Avenue N.

Southwest Blvd doesn’t cross the Red Arroyo although it parallels it were it interects Sherwood Way. I think you mean Southwest Blvd just south of Loop 306.
