Peasant Village Provides Christmas Lunch for Active Duty Members and Their Families

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Peasant Village Restaurant will be spreading the Christmas spirit this year by offering a free luncheon for current Active Duty Members and their families on Dec. 23.

The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and it is to honor the Active Duty Members and their families who are unable to make it home for the holidays.

This free, special Military Appreciation Luncheon will include a lunch buffet with ham, turkey, and all the fixins’, desserts, and tea.

If you are a civilian or prior service, Peasant Village is looking for volunteers for the event.

The Peasant Village Restaurant is located at 23 S. Park St. near the Concho River across from downtown San Angelo.

Visiting military family members and traveling frequently, Chef Jason Helfer picked up food and flavor influences from Greece, Germany, and Turkey and collaborated with chefs in Australia to merge American and Brazilian concepts. Chef Jason permanently settled back in San Angelo to bring those flavors and influences back to his community.
