Organizers led by Kirk Cleere setup the weekend for the veterans and got help from San Angelo Police Department Motorcycle officers, the Central High School Band, the TLCA Band, the Patriot Guard motorcycle group and others.

Many San Angeloans braved the frigid temperatures to wave and cheer for the wounded veterans as they passed by in golf carts furnished by the San Angelo Country Club.

Cleere and others shook the hands of each of the veterans as they passed by.

The Central Band began the parade with a moment of silence commemorating the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, then they played taps just before the parade got underway along the river downtown.
