Terry Mikeska is in the process of organizing his 39th mission project to
Nepal this fall on the other side of the world which just been through a
devastating flood killing over 225 people with the help of over 400 donors,
churches and businesses until the devastated hurricane hit south Texas and
decided he could handle both major relief missions and added semi trucks of
relief material to the victims of Hurricane Harvey as well.
Terry Mikeska received a call Tuesday night from Chris Cain, owner of Lone
Star Moving and San Angelo Apartment Movers and ask Terry on what he thought
about starting a cleanup crew with his staff of bonded movers to the areas
of the first areas hit in and near Rockport, Port Aransas, Victoria, etc,
after an hour conversation Terry without hesitation offered to fill the first
semi truck with full pallets of all the needed materials for the first team
heading out this weekend.
Thursday morning Terry visited with Andy the manager of the San Angelo Sam's Club and asked if he would walk the store with his hand inventory scanner to see what was in stock to fill the truck, after and hour Terry and Andy had enough full pallets to fill the first load
totaling almost $9,000.00 paid for by the Terry Mikeska Foundation.
Sam's club also contributed pallets of 5 gallon buckets and lids used in the bakery
area for mop buckets. Terry immediately posted it on his social media sites
and within just a few hours already raised over $2,000 towards the purchase.
The Terry Mikeska Foundation recently sent out over 800 direct mailers to his
donors for the Nepal mission projects and felt he will be able to handle both
massive projects for the next several months, Terry will be leaving in Oct on
the other side of the world to Nepal to also assist the Hope for Nepal
mission project with solar lighting, water filtration systems, schools
supplies, healthcare to 5000 people and educational programs for the
villages. Doing the most good for the most people in need is our lifetime
goal.
