The Bosque to Host Free Conservation Seminar

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS – The Concho Valley Master Gardners will offer a free water conservation seminar and family day on Saturday, April 29, at The Bosque along the Concho River.

Themed “get more green with less blue,” participants will learn about rainwater harvesting, landscape, water conservation and using ET weather stations. Hands-on demonstrations will highlight techniques and tools to conserve water while growing functional, attractive landscapes and gardens of all types and styles.

While parents are learning, children age 16 and younger can play miniature golf at The Bosque and fish in the river for free. Fishing poles will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

This special event is sponsored by the City of San Angelo, All-Tex & Supply, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Adaption International and the Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program. The Concho Valley Master Gardners is a program of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extenson.

For those interested, a rain barrel and gift cards will be given away as door prizes. The seminar will be from 10 a.m. – noon at 330 S. Irving St. along the Concho River. This event is open to the public.
