An additional arrest has taken place involving the David Rogers Construction Company robbery on Saturday, March 19.
Elizabeth Ramirez Estrada was arrested on March 23 for her participation involving the robbery. Tom Green County Sheriff investigators developed additional evidence in the investigation, and, on March 28, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Estrada for the additional offenses of Aggravated Robbery.
Estrada, who posted bond, was released from jail on the Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity charge and was later arrested on March 29 on an Aggravated Robbery charge, a first degree felony. She was booked into Tom Green County Jail.
On March 23, Charles Leon Walker, 27, was arrested by the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office and was being held for Aggravated Robbery, a first degree felony.
In our previous coverage of the robbery, Omar Solis, 22, attempted to cross the U.S./Mexico border in the stolen trucks in Del Rio. He was arrested by U.S Customs and Border Protection for theft over $20,000.00, a third degree felony, and was remanded to the custody of the Del Rio Police Department.
Tom Green County Sheriff’s CID investigation traveled to Del Rio, and, with assistance of the Del Rio Police Department, recovered the additional three stolen vehicles and identified persons of interest connected with the robbery.
Judge Martinez Modesto, 20, and Carols Zuniga, 23, were arrested by Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers in San Angelo and were held for Aggravated Robbery (1st Degree Felony) and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity (1st Degree Felony).
“This investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected,” said the Tom Green County’s Sheriff’s Office.
Tom Green County Deputies received the call at approximately 6:00 a.m. The victim, who was sleeping at the time, awoke to find two male subjects, in ski masks brandishing weapons, entered the trailer. The victim was duct taped and robbed of personal property. Four oil-filed “gang trucks” containing welder, tools and other assorted items were taken from the business during the robbery.
