Today, San Angelo has a 90 percent of showers, which the city is now witnessing, and according to Hector Guerrero, warning and coordination meteorologist with the National Weather Service in San Angelo, the city will experience periodic storms throughout the day; however, for Halloween trick-or-treaters, there’s good news.
“Showers and thunderstorms should diminish in the west overnight into tomorrow,” Guerrero confirmed. “Tonight we have a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms, low to the mid 50s, and for Saturday, mostly cloudy with a slight chance for thunderstorms; but Halloween evening should be nice.”
Guerrero added there will also be northwest winds of about 5 to 10 mph, and the weather should fall into the 60s and possibly the 50s later in the evening, so parents can plan accordingly.
However, for today, the National Weather Service just issued an Urban Small Street Flood Advisory, and San Angelo will likely witness localized flooding in low water crossing areas.
Guerrero said, “We like to tell folks when they encounter those, please don’t drive through them; turn around and don’t drown.
