Shrimp Fest in Full Swing at Paseo

 

The Paseo at Ave. D and Oakes is slowly filling, as lines community members and Rotary Club constituents fill plates with shrimp, sausage and beans to a backdrop of live music. 

Boiled shrimp is on the menu, prepared with onion, lemon and garlic, and pikes of hills and legs have begun to fill the crowded tables. 

The fest is scheduled to run until 8 p.m., and all-you-can-eat tickets run $15. 

Update 5:56 p.m.

This just in! They also have hot dogs at Shrimp Fest for those who don't care for shrimp. There's still plenty to go around, including yards of sausage and vats of shrimp and beans, not to mention the cole slaw.
