WATCH: The Craziest Treats at the San Angelo Carnival

SAN ANGELO, TX – After a successful adventure playing carnival games, I, Matt Trammell, decided to do what I do best and that's eat strange food.

The first item up to eat was the fried cheese on a stick. The classic carnival treat comes in either mozzarella or cheddar. In the video I tried both but the Mozzarella was definitely the best.

Then I decided to live on the wild side. Pierre's concession brings frog legs to the carnival every year and this year I was brave enough to try them. The employees of the food trailer ensured me that they got their frogs from a bullfrog farm. I was concerned about them coming from Lake Nasworthy but nonetheless I gave them a try.

The legs were covered in cajun seasoning and were just the right amount of crispy. I hate to say it but they were good and tasted like chicken.

The third thing that I ate was my favorite, the fried Oreo. That's right America's favorite cookie just got a little bit more American after being dipped, batter, and deep fried. The cookie was crunchy on the inside and outside but the batter remained fluffy.

Overall the food in the mid-way at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo's carnival was as good or better than ever.
