SAN ANGELO, TX — Early voting for the November 5, 2024, general elections in Tom Green County will begin on Monday, Oct. 21, and run through Friday, Nov. 1.
Voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballots in a number of races, both nationally and locally.
The ballot includes the presidential race, with former President Donald Trump facing current Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as the U.S. Senate race between incumbent Republican Ted Cruz and Democratic challenger Rep. Colin Allred.
Locally, there are elections on the ballot, including two Tom Green County Commissioner seats and San Angelo ISD’s Proposition A.
- Precinct 1 County Commissioner Race: Former San Angelo City Councilman Danny Cardenas, a Democrat, will challenge incumbent Republican Ralph Hoelscher.
- Precinct 3 County Commissioner Race: Mercedes Dela Cruz, a Democrat and newcomer to local politics, is running against two-term Republican incumbent Rick Bacon.

Polling Locations and Hours:
- Edd B. and Frances Frink Keyes Building at 113 W. Beauregard Ave.
- Concho Valley Transit District (Bus Depot) at 506 N. Chadbourne
- San Angelo ISD Administration Building at 1621 University Ave.
- Riverside Golf Course at 3301 Riverside Golf Course Rd.
- MHMR Services for the Concho Valley at 1501 W. Beauregard Ave.
Early voting dates and hours are as follows:
- Oct. 21 – 25: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Oct. 26: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Oct. 27: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Oct. 28 – Nov. 1: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Voting Requirements:
Voters must bring an acceptable form of identification, which includes Texas driver’s licenses, U.S. passports, and military IDs. For those who cannot provide one of these, alternative forms such as a utility bill or government check with proof of name and address will be accepted.
Restrictions at Polling Places:
Texas law prohibits the use of cell phones, cameras, or wireless devices within 100 feet of voting stations. Additionally, voters are not allowed to wear clothing or accessories that display political messages or affiliations within polling locations.
Mail-in Voting:
Eligible voters aged 65 or older, those with disabilities, and individuals confined to jail may apply for mail-in ballots. Click here to find an application for a ballot by mail.
