SAN ANGELO, TX — Mostly cloudy skies will gradually become sunny in San Angelo on Thursday with a high near 88 degrees and south-southwest winds around 15 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph, the National Weather Service forecasts.
A warming trend will continue through the weekend, with highs climbing to near 91 degrees Friday and reaching near 93 degrees Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures are expected to run slightly above normal. Lows will range from the low to mid-60s, with a low around 66 degrees Thursday night. Southerly winds will become gusty during afternoon hours through Friday.
Dry weather is forecast for much of the workweek, with only slight chances for showers and isolated storms along the dryline later in the period.
The National Weather Service has placed the region under a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms Thursday, mainly across the northeastern portions of the Big Country.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and evening. Any stronger storms could produce large hail — potentially larger than 1 inch — and damaging winds of 60 mph or greater.
