Hot Weather with Scattered Storms Expected in San Angelo Region

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Concho Valley will see hot weather continue Tuesday, with highs in the mid-90s to around 100 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo.

Forecasters said conditions will be partly cloudy with east to northeast winds at 5 to 10 mph. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected during the afternoon and evening hours.

Rain chances range from 20% to 50% across the region through the end of the week, with the highest probabilities on Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures are forecast to remain warmer than normal, with highs staying in the 90s.

The NWS also issued reminders on heat-related illnesses. Symptoms of heat exhaustion include dizziness, heavy sweating, nausea and weakness. Heat stroke, a medical emergency, can cause confusion, loss of consciousness and requires immediate medical attention.

Officials urged residents to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during peak heat, and know the warning signs of heat-related illness.
