SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo State Park has released its lineup of events for March, offering a variety of outdoor activities, including a Full Moon Hike on March 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Chaparral Pavilion.
Visitors to San Angelo State Park for the Full Moon Hike on March 13 may also catch a glimpse of the total lunar eclipse, which begins at 10:57 p.m. CT and peaks at 1:58 a.m. CT on March 14, casting the moon in a reddish hue known as the “Blood Moon.”
Other highlights include bison and longhorn viewing every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 a.m., a Bird Walk on March 15 at 8 a.m., and a Ghost Trails hike on March 22 at 2 p.m. Visitors can also enjoy S’mores with a Ranger on March 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Site 62.
For those interested in educational experiences, the park is offering Birding 101 on March 15 at 2 p.m. and Nature Journaling on March 19 at 2 p.m. The schedule also includes a Women’s Hike on March 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
