San Angelo State Park Hosting Weekend Hikes and Wildlife Activities

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo State Park is offering a series of guided hikes and wildlife events this weekend, including a "BARK Ranger Hike" and a Women’s Hike.

On Saturday, Feb. 22, dog owners can participate in the BARK Ranger Hike at 2 p.m. at Bell’s Trailhead. This one-mile, easy hike along the North Concho River allows leashed pets to join. Attendees should bring water, a leash, doggy bags, closed-toed shoes, and sun protection. Visitors must check in at the South Shore Gatehouse to get the gate code for the North Concho Entrance.

On Sunday, Feb. 23, the park will host a Women’s Hike at 2 p.m. at Burkett Trailhead.

Visitors can also attend the Bison & Longhorn Viewing every Wednesday and Saturday at 10 a.m., where they can observe the park’s iconic wildlife.

All events are included with park admission, which is $4 per person for ages 13 and older. Children 12 and under and Texas State Park Pass holders receive free entry.
