SAN ANGELO, TX — A mix of rain, thunderstorms, and severe weather is expected to impact the San Angelo region starting Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain chances will increase from 20% on Tuesday to as high as 75% by Thursday. Isolated thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening, potentially developing into a larger system of severe storms that could bring damaging winds over 60 mph and hail up to the size of quarters. The threat is expected to persist into Thursday morning.
Temperatures are predicted to remain mild during the stormy period, with highs reaching the mid-60s on Wednesday and Thursday. Following the rain, conditions are expected to dry out Friday morning, giving way to sunny and warmer weather heading into the weekend, with highs in the low-to-mid 70s.
Today’s forecast calls for cloudy skies with a high near 47 degrees and a light north wind of 5 mph. Tonight, conditions will remain mostly cloudy with a low of around 35 degrees and a northeast wind of 5 mph.
