SAN ANGELO, TX – West Central Texas will enjoy warmer temperatures today, with highs ranging from the upper 60s to lower 70s, but a drop in temperatures is expected midweek as a cold front moves through the region.
The National Weather Service reports that skies will clear this morning in areas like Sterling City, Sweetwater, and Haskell.

Morning clouds will give way to sunshine across the area, with west-southwest winds increasing to 15 to 25 mph. Highs will reach 70 degrees in San Angelo and surrounding areas, marking a return to above-average temperatures.
However, colder conditions will follow as a cold front arrives Monday night, bringing much cooler air by Tuesday. Overnight lows Tuesday into Wednesday will dip into the 20s and 30s across the region, with freezing temperatures likely in many areas Wednesday morning. Forecasted lows include 28 degrees in San Angelo, 27 in Ballinger, and 26 in Brownwood.

The cold front will linger through midweek, keeping daytime highs in the 50s to 60s until Thursday, when temperatures are expected to gradually rise again. Freezing temperatures on Wednesday morning could pose risks for sensitive plants and exposed pipes.
