Warm Afternoon Gives Way to Rain and Cooler Weather in San Angelo Region

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Above-normal temperatures are forecast for the San Angelo region Wednesday, with highs reaching the low 70s. However, changes are on the horizon as a chance of showers and thunderstorms, along with cooler weather, is expected later this week.

According to the National Weather Service, mild conditions will dominate today with south winds shifting westward by afternoon. Skies will clear from west to east as rain exits the area. A high of 70 degrees is predicted for San Angelo.

Looking ahead, cooler temperatures and a good chance of rain are forecast starting Friday and extending through the weekend. Highs will drop to the upper 40s and 50s on Friday and Saturday, with rain chances peaking at 50-65% across much of the region, including Junction and Brownwood.

Warmer weather will return Sunday and Monday, with highs climbing into the low 70s in some areas, before another cold front brings cooler air back to the area by Tuesday.
