West Central Texas to See Warmth Before Storms and Cold Front Arrive

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — After a chilly start in the 30s and 40s, West Central Texas will see temperatures rise into the 70s this afternoon, with light winds and mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo.

However, residents should brace for possible severe weather late Sunday into early Monday.

A cold front moving through the area is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms, with a risk of strong to severe storms.

Mild conditions will continue through the weekend, with high temperatures reaching the mid to upper 70s. By Wednesday, much cooler temperatures are forecast, as the cold front will bring highs down to the 50s across the region, with lows potentially dropping into the 30s in some areas.

Today’s forecast calls for a high near 73°F, while tonight’s low is expected to dip to 44°F. Warmer conditions will continue through Friday, with highs reaching 77°F before the weekend’s weather shift.
