Potential Record Highs This Week as San Angelo Warms into the 90s

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The National Weather Service forecasts warmer-than-normal conditions across San Angelo and the surrounding areas this week, with temperatures reaching the mid-80s to low-90s.

Today, partly cloudy skies will gradually clear, leading to sunny conditions by the afternoon, with a high near 84°F. Winds will come from the south at 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. Tonight’s low will drop to 62°F with clear skies and light winds at 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday and Wednesday will see mostly sunny conditions, with highs near 87°F and 89°F, respectively. Overnight lows will hover around 61°F. Winds will remain light at 5 to 10 mph from the south and southwest.

The warming trend is expected to continue through the end of the week, with high temperatures peaking at 90°F on Wednesday. A new record high could be set in Abilene on Wednesday, where temperatures are forecasted to reach and potentially surpass 90°F, possibly breaking the current record set in 1989.

Low temperatures each night this week will generally range from 57°F to 62°F. Rain chances remain low, and winds will stay mild.
