Potential for Major Thunderstorms and Tornadoes Later This Afternoon

SAN ANGELO, TX - The National Weather Service is reporting that there is an increased potential for severe thunderstorms across portions of the Concho Valley.

We reached out to our local National Weather Service who said that later this afternoon and into the evening, our area will have the potential for large to “very large” hail, damaging winds up to 60 miles per hour, and isolated tornadoes.

“There is still some uncertainty on specific timing, placement, and coverage,” NWS stated.

If severe thunderstorms do happen, NWS asks to stay away from windows and secure outdoor items, such as patio furniture.
