Stock Show Weather Continues with Wind Advisory Sunday

San Angelo, TX - Stock Show contestants and residents of San Angelo are once again grappling with challenging weather conditions as the annual San Angelo Stock Show is underway. A Wind Advisory is currently in effect until noon today, forecasting west/northwest winds ranging from 25 to 35 mph with gusts reaching up to 50 mph.

The advisory encompasses the Northern Edwards Plateau, Concho Valley, and portions of the Northwest Hill Country, with the turbulent weather expected to persist until the specified time.

The potential impacts of these gusty winds include the blowing around of unsecured objects and the risk of tree limbs being toppled. Additionally, residents are cautioned about the possibility of a few power outages occurring.

As a precautionary measure, authorities advise residents to exercise extra caution while driving, particularly if operating a high-profile vehicle. Securing outdoor objects is also recommended to mitigate potential damage caused by the strong winds.

The challenging weather conditions during the annual stock show and rodeo have become a recurrent concern for some locals, sparking conversations about the peculiar timing of adverse weather during this annual event.
