Freeze Warning Issued for Wednesday Morning

 

SAN ANGELO – The National Weather Service Office in San Angelo has issued a Freeze Warning for the second day in a row that will be in effect Wednesday morning, Nov. 1, from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m.

According to the NWS, a Freeze Warning was issued for early Tuesday morning when the first freeze officially occurred in San Angelo.  

Temperatures will fall as low as 27 degrees Halloween night and early Wednesday morning.  Temps that low can endanger outdoor pets, plants and pipes.  Experts recommend providing plenty of warm shelter and fresh water for pets, take vulnerable plants inside, and wrap exposed pipes. 

The City of San Angelo has opened the warming shelter for Tuesday night.  

Early Wednesday morning will be the last time this week that temps fall below freezing.  A warming trend will push afternoon high temps back up into the lower 70s by Friday and the 80s by the weekend.  Overnight lows will from the mid 30s Wednesday night to the 40s Thursday and mid 50s by Friday night.  

There is no precipitation in the short term forecast for the remainder of the week.
