Day 4 of 100 Degree Heat Comes with Wildfire Danger Again

SAN ANGELO – Professional meteorologists say Monday will be day four of 100 degree days and there is a continued threat of wildfires across West Texas with little chance for rain in sight.  

Monday's high temperature is expected to reach 103 after record triple digit heat over the weekend.  Forecast models show a slight chance of scattered thunderstorms Tuesday night but it's a very slight chance.  

Temperatures will drop a few degrees over the next few days with highs remains in the upper 90s.  There is no significant weather anomaly in the modeling to show a significant chance in the current weather patten.  

Expect hot and dry conditions for the next ten days.  

Most Counties in West Texas are currently under burn bans.  All outdoor burning is discouraged at this time including welding and grilling.  Be sure to take care of pets and people who are outside.  Stay hydrated and wear long sleeve light weight clothing.  Provide pets with plenty of fresh water and shade.  

This is a serious and ongoing weather situation.
