Thunderstorms Cause Flooding in the Christoval Area

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo has issued a Flood Advisory for the Christoval area Tuesday afternoon.

According to the NWS, a Flood Advisory is in effect for Southeastern Tom Green County until 4:15 p.m. At 2:21 p.m. doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms.

Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Christoval. Additional rainfall of 1 inch is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
