Last Freeze? Concho Valley Under Frost Advisory Wednesday Morning

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo has issued a frost advisory for the Concho Valley from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Temperatures as low as 32 degrees will result in frost formation

Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered. While most areas will stay just above freezing, a few protected areas in valleys and low lying areas may briefly fall below freezing.

A Frost Advisory means that widespread frost is expected. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

Patchy frost is likely late tonight and early Wednesday morning. Sensitive plants may need to be covered or brought inside. While most areas will stay just above freezing, valley and low lying areas may also briefly fall to, or just below the freezing mark. A freeze warning is in effect for Haskell and Throckmorton counties, where widespread temperatures of 30 to 32 degrees are expected.
