SAN ANGELO, TX -- Above the Friday night lights tonight will be a the first full moon of football season.
According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the Harvest Moon is the full moon closest to the beginning of fall or the autumnal Equinox.
Tonight for the first time since October 13, 2000, the full moon will be on Friday the 13th. This will be the last time a full moon is on Friday the 13th until August 13, 2049.
The sky will be clear tonight and the best time to view the moon will actually be on the 14 at 12:33 a.m.
