Wells Fargo Employee Found Dead at Desk Days After Clocking In

TEMPE, AZ — A Wells Fargo employee was found dead at her desk four days after clocking in for work, sparking an ongoing investigation by authorities.

The employee, identified as 60-year-old Denise Prudhomme, scanned into work at the Wells Fargo corporate office in Tempe at 7 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 16. Her body was discovered by a colleague on Tuesday, Aug. 20, after security was alerted to an unresponsive worker. Authorities confirmed that Prudhomme was deceased.

According to reports, Prudhomme’s desk was located in a cubicle on the third floor, away from the main aisle. Several employees reported smelling a foul odor in the days leading up to the discovery, which they initially attributed to plumbing issues.

Police have stated that there are no signs of foul play and are currently collaborating with the Maricopa County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
