SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo health officials first reported 149 patients are hospitalized with Covid-19 as of Wednesday. There are 830 staffed hospital beds in San Angelo's Trauma Service Area (K). 15% of 830 is 125 so the TSA has exceeded the 15% threshold for the day.
Or so we thought...
An email from the City of San Angelo Public Information Department released shortly after the Wednesday report stated the following:
"Hospitalizations are 49, not 149. Apologies!"
If the TSA stays above 15% for seven consecutive days, automatic restrictions kick in.
