SAN ANGELO, TX -- For the second day in a row, San Angelo confirmed more than 30 new COVID-19 cases in one day.
On Wednesday, the San Angelo Health Department confirmed an additional 31 new cases.
In the last three days, 96 new cases have been confirmed, seeming to indicate the city is once again experiencing a spike.
Wednesday's cases were confirmed using 11 PCR tests and 20 antigen tests.
Based on the data provided by the city, San Angelo will reach 4,000 cases if 68 new patients test positive in the coming days.
If this week's trend continues the milestone could be reached by the end of this week.
One new death was also reported on Wednesday.
