Forty total deaths seems pretty low. Which is good of course. And the Concho Valley has a total of 676 hospital beds, 406 are available, and of those being used only 32 are Covid patients. In fact, throughout Texas daily cases and deaths have been going down since around the end of July. All that can be found here: https://apps.texastribune.org/features/2020/texas-coronavirus-cases-map/?_ga=2.251089670.1070327265.1594506273-1358696269.1593616583. Yet there are many questions yet to be addressed. We continue on with the restrictions and masking, never hearing from Gov. Abbott or other officials what the end plan is. Is there even a plan? At what point do the restrictions end? Why are counties with low Covid numbers not allowed to open completely? What evidence is there that this 25% ,50% restaurant capacity is actually doing anything? If masks are effective, why are all businesses not allowed to open with masking? What has been the trade off between Covid 19 restrictions and the economic, social, and spiritual impact of not only Texans but all US citizens? When will our government start answering some questions? After the election? Or will governors and local leaders decide they like controlling our lives? Will this lockdown go on for years even? Why are no officials talking to us about any of this?

"Will this lockdown go on for years even? " - DOUGLAS JONES

Let's go to Crazytown for a stroll down Alex Jones Boulevard until we get to the intersection of Loco Avenue, where we can see the sights. So they say that this coronavirus response is "the new normal." In the background, we're looking at political polarization to the extent that our own intelligence communities have tried, but failed, to prosecute the president - a favor which he is slowly, but surely, returning.

Partisanship is extreme, the country has broken out into riots, and both the assessment of, and response to, the virus has been politicized on each side. Store shelves are getting a bit bare these days, and even many items online are more likely to be unavailable or in short supply. We assume that this is because of increased demand, though the coronavirus has likely dropped our supply as well, as more and more businesses are forced to reduce production due to the virus, halt to deal with outbreaks, or even close completely.

"Big picture" thinkers tell us that we're headed for a time of major changes according their assessments of various historical cycles. Social issues are due to cause many shifts around this time. Some say our society bears the marks of one ready to collapse, and has for some time... Still others have warned us that, if we were ever to experience a complete social and economic collapse - a civilization shifting event that triggers the end, or at least the radical transformation of, all we know - it would start with something as simple as bare shelves at the grocery store. Not to mention, a pandemic...

Scarifying thoughts.
