SAN ANGELO, TX – The City of San Angelo reported only 24 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Last week at this time the City reported 36 new positive cases.
According to the City of San Angelo, on August 19, since the beginning there have been 2,966 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Tom Green County. Tom Green County has a population of 119,200.
Hospitalizations have increased from 47 to 49. Overall COSA has announced 46 deaths. 34 of them are residents of Tom Green County. The City announced one of those deaths today. For more information check out this: Coronavirus: City Confirms One Death Reported Wednesday
The City of San Angelo is expected to release the full coronavirus numbers later today.
Out of the 24 new cases 10 were PCR tests and 14 were antigen tests.
