Coronavirus Task Force To Hold First Press Conference in Two Months

WASHINGTON, D.C. — As COVID-19 cases across the country skyrocket, the White House Coronavirus Task Force plans hold its first press conference in nearly two months at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

Positive cases in Texas have surged over the last two weeks with a record amount of new cases being reported almost daily.

After nearly 6,000 new positive cases were reported in Texas on Thursday, Gov. Greg Abbott ceased any further capacity increases, or reopening measures until the state can control the virus.

It’s not just Texas that has turned into a hotspot for the virus as cases in Arizona have increased forcing the state's Gov. Doug Ducey to backpedal on any further reopening of the state’s economy.

New York, New Jersey and Connecticut recently implemented a mandatory 14-day quarantine periods for any individuals traveling into the aforementioned states from  any other state deemed a hotspot, with Texas highly included.
