Coronavirus by the Numbers: Monday's Daily Map Shows Recoveries Near 30K

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – As previously reported on Tuesday, May 12,  the Texas Department of Health Services reported 40,650 confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus in Texas. 

Following Monday's update from the Texas Department of Health Services, the number of confirmed cases rose to 48,693  with the current fatality toll up to 1,347 and 28,371 patients who have recovered statewide. Current hospitalizations are sitting at 1,732. 

Out of the 254 counties in Texas there are currently 222 that are reporting confirmed cases of Coronavirus.

Daily testing results are as followed: 

  • 723,013 - Total Tests Administered
  • 23,415 - Public Lab Tests
  • 699,598 - Private Lab Tests
