Coronavirus: Stephens County Implements Shelter-In-Place

 

BRECKENRIDGE, TX – Stephens County officials announced Monday afternoon they will be implementing a shelter in place that beagn at 11:59 p.m.

According to KTXS, Judge Michael Roach stated that residents may only leave their homes for essential needs.

Non-essential businesses are required to close and employees can work from home it is possible. All public gatherings are prohibited as of this time and restaurants can only provide food via drive-thru, take out and delivery.

The county currently has nine Coronavirus tests pending and the results may not be available for another week.

Judge Roach remarked that members of the community had ignored public health requirements that mandated people to gather in groups of less than ten.
